Evaluation of the National Work Experience Programme (NWEP)

The Department of Employment is conducting an Evaluation of the National Work Experience Programme (NWEP).

A sample of employers and employment providers who know about the program will be invited to provide their views and experiences of the program. The Department will also conduct a survey of job seekers who have participated in NWEP.  Employers, providers and job seekers will be asked about their decision to use, or not to use, the program, their experiences of a placement (if applicable) and the barriers, challenges and benefits of the program.

Departmental staff from the Evaluation, Research and Evidence Branch will conduct this research.

If the Department contacts you, we encourage you to participate in the research. The information you provide will help the Department to learn more about the National Work Experience Programme and ways to improve its operation.

The Department is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 and strict confidentiality principles to ensure you and your business’ privacy is protected. The information you provide will be used for research only and no individual or business will be identified in any reporting.

If you have any questions about the research please contact the research team on (02) 6240 8124 or via email to evaluation@employment.gov.au.
